Today, a successful Health Check-up Camp was organized at Rotary Bhawan, benefiting around 70 individuals from the community. The camp was inaugurated by our Assistant District Governor, Prof. D. K. Free Animal treatment camp at Bhingapur (Balianta)

Today, an *Animal Treatment & Awareness Camp* was successfully organized at *Bhingarpur, Balianta*. Around *70 beneficiaries* availed treatment and veterinary support for their animals. This initiative was conducted in association with *Siksha O Anusandhan University* and the *Livestock Development Council*. Professors and students from SOA actively participated and provided treatment and care to the animals with great dedication. Free eye check up camp at Apollo Asiyana

Free Eye Check-up Camp A Free Eye Check-up Camp was successfully organised at Apollo Ashiyana, Palasuni, in association with PJ Walkers Club, Palasuni. A total of 57 persons examined their eye during the camp and benefited from the initiative. The camp was inaugurated by IPDG Yagyansis Mohapatra, Nirmala Nayak, President of PJ Workers’ Club, Prasanta Martha, President of Apollo Ashiyana Residents’ Association, and Subash Panigrahi, District Governor Elect, Walkers International District 104. The programme was well received by the local community and reflected the spirit of service through collaborative efforts. The Safe & Pure Drinking Water Project under “Saurav Jaldhara”, a unique service initiative generously sponsored by Rtn Sajjan K. The project was formally inaugurated and dedicated to the students, staff members, and the general public by our Chief Guest, District Governor Rtn Manoj Kumar Tripathy . Inauguration of SOAHM Project

We are proud to launch SOAHM – Sunlit Odisha Autism Healing Mission, a flagship initiative of the Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar in collaboration with Better Matter Foundation. Inaugurated today at the ASHA Center of Wellness, this Centre of Excellence will provide free autism screening and skilling support to children and young adults. Autism is an emerging concern in our society, and early screening and timely intervention are critical in ensuring better outcomes for neurodivergent children. It was a very nice and meaningful award ceremony today. I sincerely thank all the members who were present and contributed to the success of the program. The RCB Literacy Excellence Award Giving Ceremony was organized today with Major (Dr) Mukunda Chandra Sahoo, Chief of Hospital Administration, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, as the Chief Guest. His presence truly added value and inspiration to the event. The meeting was followed by a fellowship dinner. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the Convenor of the program, Dr. Prof. S. K. Das, for conducting the entire event so meticulously and efficiently. Literacy is one of the core focus areas of Rotary International, and we are extremely happy to have organized this prestigious program this year. Blood Donation Camp on the Occasion of 87th CRPF Day The Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar, in association with Composite Hospital, CRPF Bhubaneswar, successfully organised a Blood Donation Camp on 9th March 2026 at 8:30 AM at the CRPF Campus, Bhubaneswar, on the occasion of the 87th CRPF Day Celebration. The camp was conducted in partnership with the Blood Bank of Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar, whose dedicated medical team ensured smooth screening, collection, and safe handling of blood units. This noble initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from CRPF personnel, Rotarians, and volunteers who came forward with a strong spirit of service and humanity. The camp aimed to strengthen the local blood bank and support patients in need of life-saving blood. . The initiative truly reflected the Rotary motto “Service Above Self”.

Rotary vision hope express at Maniabandh

We are pleased to inform you that the Department of Handloom, Textiles and Handicrafts, Government of Odisha, in collaboration with Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar is launching a highly ambitious and challenging mission to cover the entire Weaver and Artisan community of Odisha within a record period of three months. This innovative programme, the first of its kind in the country, aims to cover a population of nearly 1,50,000 weavers and artisans. As part of this initiative, we have planned to provide approximately 30,000 eyeglasses to mitigate refractive error–related vision problems. The eyeglasses will include near-vision glasses. We have committed ourselves to mobilising resources for 10,000 R2C glasses for our proud weavers and artisans of Odisha. Their exceptional craftsmanship has brought international recognition to our state, and this small humanitarian support will help reduce occupational eye hazards and enable them to produce better-quality products.

The Bipin Bihari Choudhury memorial Drawing & Painting Competition, a signature and much-awaited annual event of the Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar, continues to inspire young creative minds year after year. The Award Ceremony for the 2025 edition was successfully held on 29th December 2025 at Rotary Bhawan. This year, the competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 200 students representing 22 schools, making it a truly vibrant and competitive event. The participants showcased their artistic talents across Junior, Sub-Junior, and Senior categories, reflecting creativity, imagination, and skill. The event once again reaffirmed Rotary’s commitment to nurturing talent, encouraging self-expression, and promoting art and culture among the younger generation.

Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar successfully conducted a Certificate Program on Public Relations and Image Management, in collaboration with PRCI Odisha Chapter and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s School of Management. The program witnessed an enthusiastic participation of around 70 attendees, making it a fruitful and impactful learning experience for all. Children’s Day Celebration at Adruta Homes 🎉** Today, we had the privilege of celebrating **Children’s Day** at **Adruta Homes for Orphanage** along with its wonderful inmates. The children performed beautifully and filled the occasion with joy and energy. We also visited their **campus, library, prayer hall**, and other facilities. It is truly an **excellent humanitarian project**, dedicated to shaping the lives of young children with care and compassion. Under our **Happiness in Giving** initiative, we distributed **food packets, juice, pens, exercise books**, and a few other items to support the children. Being part of this meaningful project was an honour for all of us. The program was **organised by Rtn. Sunlit Odisha Autism Healing Mission (SOAHM) An Initiative of Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar in association with Better Matter Foundation On 8th November, the Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar, in collaboration with Better Matter Foundation, organized a Training-cum-Screening Seminar at Rotary Bhawan under the banner of Sunlit Odisha Autism Healing Mission (SOAHM) — an initiative aimed to screen, support, and empower autistic children. Teachers, social workers, parents, health workers, and representatives from government agencies actively participated in this meaningful session. Teach Interface Program by Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar Today, on the occasion of Children’s Day, the Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar organized a Teach Interface session at Sri Aurobindo Institute of Integral Education, Khandagiri, at 3 PM. This initiative is the first of its kind, with a clear motto: “Steps Toward AI” — to educate students of 10 schools during this Rotary year. Tomorrow marks the beginning of this journey with our first school: 1) Sri Aurobindo School, Khandagiri Many more schools will be joining this mission soon. Today, we released the poster on Cervical Cancer Awareness** at Government Girls’ High School, Unit-6, with the gracious hands of the Headmistress, in the presence of our esteemed members. This awareness campaign will continue throughout the year in various schools and colleges. Cervical cancer is a very serious and burning health concern, and through this initiative, we aim to spread awareness and prevention. As part of our project, this year we will vaccinate **500 girl students free of cost** in schools to protect them against cervical cancer.
